Spring Break in Central and South FL (Patrick AFB)

Hello Chuck, I've enjoyed your post and travels. I currently have an Aliner, but someday when I get the urge a Casita is in store for me too. But for right now I'm enjoying the Aliner along with my girlfriend and our travels mostly to the beach, etc. What prompted me to leave you a message is the trip you made to Kansas. I plan over the next couple to three years to make a trip to Kansas myself. I heard stories of Kansas all my life from my granddad who was raised in Hill City, Kansas.

Glad you enjoyed, my family all came from Edmond (half way between Norton & Hill City. My Dad was born in Graham County, but grew up in Norton County. The Prairie Dog State Park just West of Norton on hwy 36 is great—enjoy your travels.

SUMMER TRAVELS 2012 FLORIDA TO COLORADO

We arrived back home in Pensacola on Saturday August 25 after 6 weeks of travel. Much fun living out of the Casita for 6 weeks, and planning our next trip for the spring time. We had a tropical storm (Isaac) to greet us on arrival, but it’s headed well to the west of Pensacola so nothing to worry about here, unfortunate for New Orleans again.

Had a wonderful 4 days in Branson, MO — both the Rockies and the Ozarks are beautiful in their own way. We saw the Chinese Acrobats, Doug Gabriel, and the Dixie Stampede while there. Best restaurant was the “Rib Crib”.

Next stop Huntsville, Alabama!

We had a wonderful week in Colorado. My favorite State. Fort Collins is my favorite town in the USA. Headed back home now, just spent the night at KOA in Goodland, KS not far from where I grew up.
