Thanks, Sharon. Headed to the Rocky Mountains this summer via Kansas first. Been in port long enough, time to get traveling
We are ready for summer travels. Trailer is cleaned and ready, truck has been serviced and ready for some serious camping. Stay tuned!
SEPTEMBER 2, 2011:
Hi, welcome to my website THE VAGABOND’S TRAVELS. I have just fulfilled a lifelong dream of living out of a travel trailer indefinitely as I’ve traveled the entire Eastern Seaboard from Florida to Prince Edward Island, Canada - a distance of 2,384 miles of shoreline from June 15 until September 1, 2011.
My return trip involved several zig-zags from Pennsylvania to Virginia and back to Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Back again to Pennsylvania before starting my permanent journey home a few weeks ago. According to my calculations, I have put almost 8,000 miles on my truck in 2 1/2 months. But it has been fun, I don’t drive continually — just a couple hundred miles a day, then stop for 2 to 3 days or 2 to 3 weeks depending on who I want to visit with or what I want to see.
My travels are in reverse chronological order covering about 7 or 8 pages—scroll down and enjoy the scenes.
Please feel free to leave any comments here on my blog or e-mail me at chucksper@yahoo.com.
Be well, keep in touch, and God bless!
Thanks, Sharon and glad you enjoyed. I’m now subscribed to your blog so will enjoy the updates. Happy travels!

Well, my summer travels have pretty much ended—I spent the last two days in Fort Mill and Rock Hill, SC where I had lived for 5 years until moving to Florida in March 2010. Fort Mill was never actually an Army post, it was a textile mill town for years for Springmaid products (owned by the Springs family). Both places are now pretty much bedroom communities of The Charlotte, NC Metro area although they still have their individual charms and neighborhoods.
Always nice to stop back and visit with old friends.
Tomorrow morning it’s back to Florida for the winter.
This upcoming spring/summer/fall is going to be the western trip I’ve been eagerly awaiting since I picked up my Casita in March 2010. Someplace on my “bucket list” (hopefully October of 2012 to catch the folliage) is the Cumbres & Toltec scenic railroad which crosses back and forth between New Mexico and Colorado.
